In Nov. of 2000, some major clients of Trivision such as Powerchip Semiconductor Corporation; ProMOS Technologies Inc; Macronix International Co., Ltd. and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) located in Science Based Industrial Park of Taiwan, all has been received a threatening letter from Brilliant Tiger Co., Ltd., who quoted the systems purchased from Trivision has infringed their Taiwan Utility Model Patent No. 148975. A civil and criminal law suit of patent infringement also has been launched following to the threatening letter by Brilliant Tiger Co., Ltd. who is one of local supplier of traditional design of soot filter and purifier.

This law suit of patent infringement has been details investigated and judged both by Free Trade Commission and district courts of Taiwan. In July of 2002, The Free Trade Commission of Taiwan has made a decision to fine Brilliant Tiger Co., Ltd. of sending threatening letters to key clients of Trivision without any evidence of patent infringement to their patent which has against the Free Trade Law of Taiwan.

In Feb. of 2004, The district court of Taipei County dismissed this law suit of patent infringement launched by Brilliant Tiger Co., Ltd. for lack of evidences. Brilliant Tiger did not file an appeal. Therefore, the lawsuit was closed and became irrevocable.

In May of 2006, Intellectual Property Office (IPO) re-examined and cancelled the Taiwan Utility Model Patent No. 148975. filed by Brilliant Tiger Co., Ltd. due to the mentioned patent has been published or put to public use and has become known to the public prior to patent application, which has against patent laws of Taiwan.

This state of art emission control system has also been installed over 250 units onto Gensets and DUPS in the region of Great China with excellent performance and high reliability. The treated engine exhaust after the patented system can also meet the US Non Road Tier 4 standard, which is the unique system that can be used for the air pollution control of very large size of diesel driven Gensets and Dynamic UPS of the world.
