  • Nitrogen oxide NOx, is either formed by reaction of N2 and O2 at high temperature, such as process of glass melting, or use of fossil fuel that contains N2, as diesel, gasoline, coal, natural gas etc., or use of nitric acid, where chemical reaction took place, such as pickling process of stainless steel, manufacturing process of fertilizer, explosives, nitrocellulose, etc.
  • Global environmental issues, including toxic haze, destruction of Ozone layer, global warming, climate change, and acid rain, are all directly caused by emission of NOx, More strengthen regulation of NOx emissions has implemented for fire power plants, steel mill, petrochemicals, glass making, boilers, incinerators, and engines.
  • Urea solution or Ammonia has been wildly used as reducing agent in the process of Selective Catalytic Recovery (SCR) of De-NOx system, that reacts with NOx and non-toxic Nitrogen (N2) and water (H2O) formed before discharged into the atmosphere.
