Catalyzed Particulate Filter (Passive Regeneration Filter)
- Catalyzed particulate filter facilitate continuous self-regeneration by enabling the oxidation of the carbonaceous particulate matter around exhaust temperatures 300°C during regular operation of the engine or vehicle.
- Typical application are long distance buses, tourist buses, containers, trailers, shuttle buses, heavy duty trucks, chemical powder containers, and high-pressure gas containers.
- The exhaust temperature of vehicle is varied by speeds, road conditions and weight carried. Therefore, duty cycle assessment (DCA) of vehicles are key of success for retrofit before catalyzed particulate filter being selected and installed.
