Products Particulate Filter

Emission control technology of diesel exhaust has been developed over the past 40 years by using honeycomb ceramic substrate to trap particulate matter (PM) or soot of diesel exhaust, PM will be oxidized to CO₂ and water by using various kinds of filter regeneration strategies.

The particulate filter is designed as a honeycomb structure made by SIC substrate, with every second channel blocked to allow diesel exhaust to pass through the micro porous walls, where soot will be trapped and removed by filtration with an efficiency of more than 95%.

Particulate filter will be built up gradually by accumulated soot of diesel exhaust. Filter can be restored by thermal process of regeneration i.e. diesel soot reacts with oxygen or nitrogen dioxide to CO₂ and water.

Faulty design of filter regeneration or misuse of catalyzed filter will cause inadequate filter regeneration and filter will become impossible to restore due to low exhaust temperature, when running as running engine idling of Gensets or Dynamic UPS for routine maintenance.

Dual regeneration particulate filter is designed to have additional supportive electrical heater to regenerate catalyzed filter when required, which is applicable for running engine with frequent idling or low driving speed of vehicles.
